10th Annual Gentlemen's Cooking Classic

 

Southern University Shreveport Foundation hosted the 10th Annual Gentlemen’s Cooking Classic, on Saturday, June 27, 2009, 6:00p.m. - 9:00p.m., at Harrah’s Louisiana Downs. Known for its fabulous cuisine and rich variety of personalities and chefs, the theme for this years’ "GCC" was, "So You Think You Can Cook?" Legendary local Chef Gerald Savoie, owner of Savoie’s Restaurant and Catering, was the honorary guest. 

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Mr. Roy Griggs, CEO-Griggs Enterprises, were also honored at the event as "Honorable Southern Gentlemen". John Hubbard, Manager of External Affairs for AEP SWEPCO, and Markey W. Pierre, Southern Strategy Group, served as the Chair and Co-Chair of the event. The GCC has become the largest gathering of celebrity Chefs in the Shreveport/Bossier City area, attracting over 1200 guests.
