SHREVEPORT, LA - The Southern University System, the only Historically Black College and University System, has, and will be faced with tremendous financial and political challenges, deep budget reductions, enrollment challenges, increased retirement and healthcare costs, and lack of reserves System-wide.
As a result of the current state of the University, the SU System must renew itself as a model, 21st Century Historically Black College and University system of higher learning.
Join SU System President Ronald Mason Jr. as he shares, “Keys to the Future of the Southern System,” an outline to encourage discussion and build a consensus agenda for a “new” Southern System.
You’re invited, this Saturday, July 21st, starting at 12 noon, in the SU Museum of Art, 610 Texas Street, downtown Shreveport. Refreshments will be served and a pair of Bayou Classic tickets will be given away by Shreveport Chapter of the Southern University Alumni Federation. For more information contact Ms. E. Jean Ware at 318/226-9011.
For the complete statewide itinerary and contact persons, please download Agenda.
