The Student Support Services Department at
Southern University at Shreveport Celebrates Black History Month
To commemorate Black History Month, Student Support Services (SSS) at Southern University at Shreveport is sponsoring its 12th Annual “Friendly” Debate. The Debate provides a challenge, information, inspiration and a continual recognition of Black History.
This year’s debate promises to be just as electrifying and emotionally charged.
The topic: “Everyone knows about the big political parties,
Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Independent, no party and others...Is
it Necessary to vote along party affiliations to elect the best qualified candidate?

The Annual Black History Debate is sponsored by SSS, a department in the Division of Student Affairs, a Federal Funded Program which provides a comprehensive Advisement Program to meet the academic, personal, social and career planning needs of its participants.
