Pre-Engineering/Pre-Physics

Degree Type: Associate of Science/Louisiana Transfer Degree

By obtaining a Pre-Engineering- Pre-Physics Louisiana Transfer degree, a student will be able transfer to a four-year institution in order to complete a baccalaureate degree in Engineering or Physics. Courses offered by this degree program ensure that a completer will obtain the credits required to transfer directly into a four-year degree program of their choice in either Engineering or Physics.

The Pre-Engineering/ Pre-Physics program prepares individuals to transfer into a 4-year degree program for Engineering or Physics.

The mission of the program is to prepare students to compete nationally in their profession and to achieve excellence in undergraduate education and public service. The Department of Engineering and Technology prepares students to achieve their full potential so as to meet their personal and professional endeavors and become actively involved in the nation’s workforce and the economic development of the state of Louisiana. To that end, the Department invests in its students’ abilities to perform scholarly research and engage as independent learners while embracing a culture of self-discovery, collaboration, civic engagement, and excellence.
