SGA Executive Branch

Powers of the Executive Branch reside in the Student Body President and Vice President. Their fellow students elect them each spring semester to:

• Administer and enforce Student Body laws;
• Sign or veto Senate acts; Call and preside over Student Body meetings;
• Recommend legislation to the Senate;
• and Create programs, activities, or events that address the needs of students or improve the campus.

Working to enhance the quality of life for students, the executive officers voice concerns of students to the administration and community and help resolve those concerns.

Randale Scott is a sophomore majoring in Business and Accounting. He serves as the President of the Student Government Association and Board member of the Southern University Board of Supervisors. He is the chief advocate for the entire Student Government Association and Student Body. His duties are to oversee all activities of the Student Government Association.

Cordecrio S. Galloway is a sophomore majoring in Human Service. He serves as the Vice President of the Student Government Association and President of the Student Senate. His duties are to assist the President at his request or absence and to preside over all Student Senate Meetings.

Executive Office of the President Staff:

Kay M. Pineset is a sophomore majoring in Biology. She serves as the Secretary to SGA. Her duties are to organize all activities, meetings and events of the Student Government Association.

Adreanna G. Thomas is a sophomore majoring in Radiology. She serves as the Treasurer to the Student Government Association. Her duties are to organize a year’s budget, track all expenses and make recommendations about appropriate actions.

Robert M. Lars is a sophomore majoring in Criminal Justice. He serves as the Chief of Staff to the SGA Presidential Cabinet and chief assistant to the President. His duties are to provide oversight and leadership to the cabinet at the President request.

Mahailier S.C. Willis is a sophomore majoring in Chemistry. She serves as the Executive Assistant to the President. Her duties are to assist the President and the immediate staff.
