IT Emergency Communications Network (ECN)
Emergency Communications Network (ECN) is an emergency mass notification system that will send text, voice and e-mail messages to SUSLA students, faculty and staff during a crisis on campus.
The Emergency Communications Network system also allows for text-to-voice features that will send messages to landlines and will compliment SUSLA's existing Axis-TV Digital Messaging Display and the SUSLA website. The project is a statewide initiative funded by the Louisiana Board of Regents and supported by the Southern University System to complement campus emergency preparedness.
All students, faculty and staff are eligible to register with ECN using the SUSLA-issued email accounts. To best utilize the alert system, we strongly encourage the entire SUSLA community to ensure their contact information is accurate and to enter additional contact information at Emergency Communications Network Registration Site.
Upon initial registration, ECN will e-mail information about the system and a temporary password that can be used to provide additional contact information on a secure web site. Please update your information accordingly.
Please NOTE your information is secure and will only be used for contacting you in the event of an emergency and will not be shared. For additional information, see below.
