POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the clinical scheduling, monitoring of the Paramedic training, quality improvement and assurance of the student's clinical experience.

SUMMARY:

  1. Responsible for clinical competency, scheduling and monitoring of the Paramedic Training This includes recording and maintaining all documents required for each Paramedic program cohort.
  2. Performs site visits to ensure student's attendance; observes student performance while in the clinical setting and maintains a positive and professional relationships with all staff at the clinical and field affiliate locations.
  3. Responsible for the quality improvement and quality assurance of student's clinical experience and all reports.
  4. Assists the Program Director with curriculum development and course content specifications and conducts formal lecture and laboratory education in preparation for the clinical experience.
  5. Responsible for preceptor orientation, communication, and evaluation. Orients all preceptors to an acceptable level as indicated by the accrediting agency and National Registry of Emergency Medical
  6. Responsible for assuring the students attainment of clinical skills in the Paramedic Training Program.
  7. Responsible for student compliance to all rules and policies required by each Clinical Affiliate and Field Experience Affiliate.
  8. Responsible for assurance that each student is qualified and prepared to participate in the clinical and field experience.
  9. Distribute, collect and review students clinical and field evaluation forms and enters them into the student portfolio as required by the accrediting agency for allied health

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Must have an Associate Degree in Applied Science Paramedic from a Regional Accredited Institution.
  2. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a practicing
  3. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications.
  4. Strong planning and organizational skills along with the ability to maintain the scheduling of clinical and field rotations as required by the curriculum.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communicating skills and the ability to provide oral presentations and written documentation regarding the Paramedic program.
  6. Must be able to work as scheduled for all required hours including nights and

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor Degree from a Regional Accredited Institution

COMPENSATION: Salary Range is $50,456 to $51,000
