Dr. Aubra J. Gantt, Chancellor, and the Southern University at Shreveport family invite you to join us in celebrating the achievements of our graduates at Southern University at Shreveport's 2026 Spring Commencement!

Southern University at Shreveport’s Milam Street Kitchen Incubator & Community Kitchen (MS KICK) recently transformed into a culinary arena of creativity, teamwork, and mentorship during the Youth Chef Cook Off Battle hosted in partnership with Volunteers for Youth Justice and students from Huntington High School Raider Court & Leadership Academy.

We are thrilled to honor Mr. Tony Williams, owner of La Palma, with an autographed guitar by the talented Mr. JuBu Smith of Legally Blynd and former lead guitarist for Frankie Beverly and Maze.

Southern University at Shreveport's Dental Hygiene student, Ms. Raven Franklin, was awarded a $2,000 scholarship from the Rotary Club of Shreveport! Chancellor Aubra J. Gantt and SUSLA's administrators were there to celebrate this incredible achievement.

Southern University at Shreveport's Roy Griggs School of Business recently held an engaging session titled “Business Etiquette and Communication 101,” presented by Erica Thomas, a Business Consultant and Etiquette & Professional Development Specialist.
