Requirements
To serve in AmeriCorps Seniors programs you must be:
- 55 years and older
- No prior experience working with children or teaching necessary, as we provide training
- No minimum education requirement
- Must be willingness to share knowledge and experience with young children
- Must be willing to volunteer 20 to 25 hours a week on a set schedule
- Meet the income requirement
- Must pass NSCHC background check
- Annual physical required
