SUSLA Receives $175,000 From Caddo Parish Commission to Support Workforce Education.

The U.S. Department of Education Office of Legislation and Congressional Affairs has selected Southern University at Shreveport to receive $1.3 million in funding for a Veterans Upward Bound program.

Southern University at Shreveport (SUSLA) joined by Mayor Ollie Tyler and other community leaders celebrated the opening of the Alphonse Jackson, Jr. Hall on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 6:00 p.m.

SUSLA was awarded a million dollar grant to develop a kitchen incubator in the Allendale community in Shreveport.
