Southern University at Shreveport Division of Allied Health can be the perfect place for you to prepare for a new career in the allied health field.

Our programs are designed to integrate both classroom theory and practical, hands-on experiences and to meet the needs of today's health care employers.

The Division is committed to providing the best possible allied health education at a reasonable cost. Teaching excellence and concern for the individual student is the heart of our existence. We are here to serve the students in their pursuit of careers in health-related professions. As the largest and most diversified overall instructional unit at the University, the Division of Allied Health is a division of the Office of Allied Health and offers seven (7) associate degrees and five (5) certificate programs. These programs prepare competent, entry-level health care professionals who possess the knowledge, skills and attitudes consistent with the expectations of the public and the profession.
