Budget Office
The Office of Budget, Finance and Administration at Southern University-Shreveport will promote university excellence through Superior service, financial accountability and Finance integrity. Will assist university staff in the establishment, maintenance, and prudent oversight of budgets. It will facilitate effective and efficient allocation and the utilization of financial resources in accordance with fiscally sound principle that support the university’s planning and decision making Process.
Goals:
Demonstrate high ethics and professional standards; Ensure fiscal integrity of the University starting with budget development and culminating with a clean external audit; Assist the vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration in the development and implementation of the annual budget that is consistent with the Strategic Plan goals and objectives and that is advanced to the Chancellor and the Board of Regents based on Campus-wide representation; Prepare external funding requests and report, as necessary, to meet statutory and regulatory deadlines; Excel in customer service and use innovative skills and technology to enhance performance.
