Need Help Filing your FAFSA?

The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) in partnership with the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships at Southern University at Shreveport are here to assist students planning to enroll in Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or Summer 2026 with completing the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Please note that SUSLA's annual FAFSA Submission Priority deadline is April 14th.

Before your appointment, please:

• Create an FSA ID at https://studentaid.gov for both the student and a parent (if you're a dependent student). Your FSA ID is required to access and sign the FAFSA electronically.
• Bring the following documents for the student and parent (if applicable):
  • 2023 Federal Tax Return (Form 1040)
  • 2023 W-2s and/or records of earned income
  • Social Security Numbers
  • Driver's license or state ID (if available)
  • Records of untaxed income (e.g., child support received, veterans' benefits)
  • Current bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)

Our teams are ready to guide you through the FAFSA process to ensure your application is completed accurately and on time.
