Southern University at Shreveport (SUSLA) invites the community to celebrate National International Education Week with a special International Food Truck Day on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The event will take place on the main campus, offering a diverse culinary experience from around the world.
Guests can enjoy delicious cuisine from food trucks specializing in Chinese, Mexican, Cajun, Greek, and Caribbean dishes. This event aims to showcase the vibrant cultural diversity that international students bring to SUSLA and to the Shreveport-Bossier community.
"We are excited to celebrate International Education Week by bringing together flavors from around the world," said Dr. Calvin B. Lester, Jr., Director of Multicultural and International Affairs. "It's an opportunity to highlight the importance of international education and to bring the community together over a shared love for diverse food and culture."
This event is free to attend, and all are welcome to experience a taste of the world in one place. There will also be opportunities to learn about SUSLA’s international programs, scholarships for international students, and how the community can support international education.
