Admission Requirements
The following items are required to be considerd for admission to the university:
APPLICATION FEE
A non-refundable application processing fee of $20 is required of all applicants. Application fees can be
- Paid Online while completing the application
- By mail with a cashier’s check or money order
- By credit card by calling the Cashier at 318.670.9305
High School - applicants who graduated from high school must provide an official high school transcript bearing the school seal or school official’s signature, and date of graduation.
GED/HiSet - applicants who passed the General Education Test must submit the official General Education Diploma (GED) scores.
Home-School students who were home-schooled must submit an official transcript from the State Department of Education which shows the date of graduation.
COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS
Transfer students are not required to submit an official transcript for admission to SUSLA, unless the student requests that credits earned while attending another regionally accredited institution be applied towards a certificate or degree at SUSLA.
If you choose to transfer college credits, you will need to complete the Transfer Credit Articulation Request Form and submit a . You will need to schedule an appointment with an advisor to complete the Academic Degree plan.
Note. Transcript may be requested by the Financial Aid Office for verification of attempted hours to determine satisfactory academic progress (SAP).
IMMUNIZATION RECORD
Each student entering the university shall provide immunization records. If the immunization records cannot be readily obtained the student may request for an exemption using the Immunization Form.
Note. Online only programs do not require the submission of Immunization Records.
TEST SCORES
Submit test scores (ACT, SAT or Accuplacer). Applicants who have not taken either of these exams must take the Accuplacer. To sign up to take the Accuplacer visit the Register for Accuplacer Placement Assessment page.
New first-time freshman (age 25 or older) seeking admission into degree programs are not required to have test scores on file.
Note. A student is not officially enrolled until all steps prescribed by the institution are completed. Registration procedures are made available to students at the beginning of each registration period. If a student fails to complete registration within a designated period, a late fee may be charged. No credit is allowed for courses taken in which the student is not officially enrolled. A student is not officially enrolled until all fees have been paid.
Records submitted become the property of the University and will not be returned. Falsification of any information when applying for admission may result in the denial of admission or dismissal from the University. Provisional admission of thirty days may be granted pending receipt of required data. The registration of any student whose admission records are still incomplete fourteen (14) days after the first day of classes may be automatically canceled with no refund of fees.
