SUSLA’s New Polysomnography Technology Program, the “Study of Sleep”, Showcased on Loving Living Local

Shreveport, LA – Southern University at Shreveport (SUSLA) now offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree for those who are curious about the study of sleep.

SUSLA is one of two universities in the state of Louisiana that offers a Polysomnography Technology Program (PSGT).  This premiere, state-of-the-art program is designed to develop the next generation of Sleep Technologists.

PSGT Program Director Colton Wiggins recently appeared on the “Loving Living Local” show stating, “Polysomnography Technology is where we record various types of sleep studies. And so, a person will come in and we’ll record if they kick their legs, how the breathing is done the sleep stages. So, anything that encompasses sleep.”
