SUSLA Family Attends 44th Annual 40-Hour Vigil with Alumni

Dr. Aubra J. Gantt and the SUSLA Family joined the Shreveport Chapter of the Southern University Alumni Association in attending the 44th Annual 40-Hour Prayer Vigil. Southern University and Grambling State University alumni together enjoyed an uplifting worship service at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church! Alumni united in worship, praised God, and prayed over both universities.

The inspirational guest speakers, Grambling Alumnus Steven C. Grant, Sr. - Caddo Public Schools' Supervisor of Child Welfare & Attendance, and Southern Alumna Judge Brittany Bass-Arvie - Shreveport City Court Judge, shared powerful recaps of how their HBCU's shaped their lives. Heartfelt thanks to Pastor Joe R. Gant, Jr. for graciously hosting and delivering both encouraging and insightful closing remarks; culminating with a beautiful prayer for unity.

The prayer vigil was a wonderful reminder of the power of faith and community!
