Program Overview

Type: Certificate of Technical Studies

The Airframe Maintenance Certificate of Technical Studies (CTS) prepares students with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to work with aircraft airframe systems and components.

Through coursework in basic electricity, aviation regulations, aircraft materials and processes, sheet metal and non-metallic structures, welding, airframe inspection, assembly and rigging, fuel systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, landing gear, electrical systems, and communication and navigation equipment, students develop a broad foundation in aircraft maintenance.

The 43-credit-hour program provides focused hands-on technical training for students pursuing opportunities in the aviation maintenance field and seeking to build the skills necessary to support safe and effective aircraft operations. Classes will take place at our Aerospace Technology Center.
