Technology Fee

A state-mandated technology fee is included in the Fee Schedule.

Purpose:
To meet the growing technological needs of the students.
Amount:
The amount of this fee is based on the number of credit hours pursued.

 

Technology Resource Committee

The Technology Resource Committee is responsible for formulating technology policies, developing initiatives, and recommending systemic approaches to integrating modern-day technology into classroom instruction and academic laboratories. The committee is also responsible for formulating technology fee policy, and approving proposals suitable for implementation in accordance with the student technology fee guidelines.

The committee is chaired by the Director of the Information Technology Center (ITC) and includes representatives from the student governing body, faculty, and administrative units, who are capable of exercising sound judgment regarding policy issues in technology management, database building, management of information systems, network management, and distance learning.

The committee provides the Chancellor with input on substantive issues relating to information technology initiatives and student technology fees management.

The Technology Resource Committee assists the ITC in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the University relative to implementation of technology. The Committee seeks active participation from the student body, faculty, and administrative components.
