Giving Back Helps You Too!
The Caddo/Bossier/Desoto Foster Grandparent Volunteer Program are looking for senior volunteers to serve as role models for students with exceptional needs. When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
You Have What It Takes
If you are 55 and want to share your experience of life and compassion, you have what it takes to be a Foster Grandparent. FGPs serve up to 20 to 25 hours per week. You will receive orientation training, free-tax hourly increased stipend (non-taxable), limited travel reimbursement, annual service recognition, paid time off (annual/sick leave), uniforms provided, and meals. Experience the joy of making a difference in the lives of youth who need help.
