Child Care Access Means Students in School (CCAMPIS)

The Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Program supports the participation of low-income parents in secondary education through the provision of local childcare service providers. CCAMPIS is funded through a grant from the U. S. Department of Education.

- Parenting Workshops
- A Student- Parent Network
- Provides links to community resources and agencies
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the CCAMPIS program, students must:
- Be enrolled as an undergraduate student at Southern University at Shreveport, taking at least 6 credit hours of classes
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Have a child or children between 6 weeks and 5 years old, for standard daycare programs
- Not be enrolled in any other state or federally subsidized childcare assistance programs.
PRIORITY ENROLLMENT
- Student Veteran parents will have priority enrollment
- Student Parents of children with documented disabilities will have priority enrollment
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
When accessing the online CCAMPIS application, students are required to use their SUS email address. EX: first.name@sus.edu

- Class Schedule and Work Schedule
- Birth Certificate of child needing care
- W-9 from Day Care Provider
- Proof of Residence
- Student ID
