Our Clinic

The SUSLA Dental Hygiene Clinic offers reduced-fee patient care services for children, adolescents, adults, elderly and special needs patients. All services are performed by dental hygiene students who are under close supervision of experienced instructors. A supervising dentist is available to examine, interpret x-rays and to provide local anesthesia for dental treatment when needed.

Scope of Services

Our dental hygiene students perform oral cancer screenings, oral examinations, x-rays, basic cleanings, non-surgical periodontal therapy, such as scaling and root planning, sealants and fluoride treatments. In addition, tooth whitening (bleaching), tobacco cessation and nutritional counseling. 

Appointments

If you choose our services, you will go through a brief screening process by an instructor to determine which level of treatment is needed. You will then be given an appointment with a student dental hygienist.  This is a teaching program, therefore appointments are about three to four hours in length. Some procedures will be more than one appointment.  Please prepare to remain until the completion of the appointment. Call: The Dental Hygiene Office at 318.670.9561

We do not accept dental insurance, this is a cash only clinic.

Enter the main entrance and proceed past the Jaguar Court Dormitory on the right.
The next building on the right is the Dental Hygiene Clinic. (We are located across the street from the Alphonse Jackson Building).

You may park at any available space on either side of the road.
