Applying for Financial Aid?

If you're uncertain about covering the cost to attend Southern University at Shreveport, you should apply for financial aid. Financial assistance is offered to students that demonstrating financial need.

How to Apply?

Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and add our FAFSA Code 007686.  If required, students will have to present to the Financial Aid Office copies of their federal income tax forms and valid Student Aid Report (SAR). All students must meet the University's Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements to receive financial assistance.

Students should contact the Financial Aid Office at least two weeks after applying and request the ISIR to be downloaded.

 

Completing the FAFSA
