Whether you are coming to Southern University at Shreveport as a first-year student or a transfer student, our Summer Orientation will ensure that your transition is smooth and enjoyable. We cannot wait to welcome you! SOAR, Summer Orientation Advisement and Registration is the first step of the orientation process and is a one-day session for new students. This orientation is only for first-time students and transfer students. All students are required to complete a FAFSA prior to attending. Space is limited, so register early as sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to COVID restrictions, only one parent/guardian can attend the session with their student.
