Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation

The primary objective of the Louis-Stokes Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation (LS-LAMP) program is to provide minority STEM students with educational enrichment e.g., peer tutoring, summer research opportunities, conference participation, and modest financial support via book awards, GRE preparation books, and summer tuition assistance. Students participate in K-12 and peer tutoring activities. LAMP is funded by NSF and Board of Regents. At SUSLA, this program has existed since 1998 and has been led by Dr. Barry Hester and is currently led by Dr. Kenie Moses. Participants come from nearly all STEM disciplines.
