Program Description

This is a 72 hours/22 months program which provides the participant with the knowledge and skills required to enter the field of Surgical Technology. The graduates earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Surgical Technology. A student who has completed a course of Medical technology, English, and one course of Human Anatomy and Physiology Lec/Lab may enroll in the first spring semester courses of the Program’s area of study. These courses are offered in the fall and spring semester.  Once successful, the student applies for clinical to complete 3 semesters of skills training in the operating rooms of area hospitals and a summer seminar that prepares the students for National Certification in Surgical Technology (CST).
