Biography:
Patricia Flowers has served in the healthcare profession for forty-three (43) years. She began her nursing career as a provider of direct patient care. She also served in management and administrative roles as Quality Improvement Director, Chief Nursing Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. In 2016, she decided to enroll at Southern University at Shreveport to begin her education in Health Information Management. Upon completion of the program, she began teaching at Southern University at Shreveport in the capacity of adjunct faculty for the Health Information Technology Program. Pat’s teaching philosophy mirrors her life philosophy, “dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
